Seeking Restaurant Manager

Rockford Brewing Company is a brand new Brewpub opening up on the Rock River in the historical Prairie Street Brewhouse in downtown Rockford IL.
We are looking for an outgoing and self-motivated applicant with years of experience to join our team and manage restaurant and banquet food service operations.
Applicants must be passionate about, and have a good understanding, of craft beer and food.
We will be opening our 100
seat brewpub 7 days a week starting in the spring with additional restaurant/bar/event and outdoor patio space to open soon after.
This is an exciting project that is sure to be a landmark for downtown Rockford.
Skills/Qualifications High school degree required; college degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Economics or Business Administration preferred Minimum 3 years management, supervisory and/or leadership experience required, restaurant management and/or progressively responsible management experience preferred Strong business acumen, understanding of how businesses operate and ability to take on increased levels of responsibility Computer literacy and proficiency and understanding of Micros POS systems Ability to work on your feet within a fast-paced environment TIPS, Alcohol Awareness and/or ServSafe certifications a plus Bilingual skills a plus Must have strong Leadership and communication skills and be detail oriented.
Operational Responsibility Manage all aspects of restaurant operations in accordance with the goals and objectives set forth by Rockford Brewing Company ownership.
Manage all areas of front of the house and kitchen operations, which includes on the spot decision-making, supporting staff, full interaction with the guests and ensuring that the guest needs are our main focus while enforcing our high standards.
Oversee kitchen operations and work with the chef to create and maintain an exciting and dynamic seasonal menu.
Staff Development Accomplish all restaurant and bar human resource objectives by recruiting, interviewing, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff.
Must clearly communicate job expectations by creating employee manuals, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions and holding performance reviews.
Work with the Chef and Brewer to conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to ensure staff understands our ever-changing craft beer and food menu.
Ensure staff understands brewing operations and can clearly articulate information to customers.
Create and maintain employee schedules.
Develop and implement training programs for the various departments.
Customer Satisfaction Maintain patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings.
Ensure impeccable and timely service and exceed customer expectations.
Build and maintain relationships with preferred patrons.
Create a culture of hospitality and drive for excellence.
Quality Standards Ensure the highest quality food and beverage product.
Ensure all food is delivered on time and is up to RBC standards.
Ensure our craft beer is properly dispensed.
Ensure our facility is cleaned and maintained properly.
Check wares to make sure they are up to our standards.
Communication Communicate with team members and owners on menu planning, operational needs, staff needs, facility needs, and special events and functions.
Communicate desires of ownership to staff.
Communicate with local business owners and press.
Communicate and develop relationships with purveyors and local partners.
Financial Performance Ongoing Responsibilities.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
