Grant Writing and Communications Coordinator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Prepares and/or facilitates the completion of reports for funded grants on a timely and efficient basis.
Supports the Director of Development and the Executive Director in maintaining relationships with grant funders.
Works with members of the management and finance team to develop new grant opportunities.
Fosters relationships with existing donors.
Oversees the day-to-day coordination of grants, including acknowledgements.
Creates project specific collateral to be used in the cultivation and solicitation of new grant opportunities, including agency and program boilerplate and statistics for grant proposals.
Obtains and maintains library of appropriate grant related manuals and/or periodicals.
Writes, edits, and finalizes press releases, newsletter articles, appeal letters, website content and other written communications in collaboration with other members of the Development team.
Assists Development Team with all aspects of fundraising and event planning.
Performs other tasks as assigned by Director of Development.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in related area of study, e.
g.
Communications, English, Technical Writing.
3-5 years of experience of non-profit grant writing, technical and/or creative writing, and editing experience.
Excellent writing and editing skills, including experience in grant writing and donor correspondence.
Excellent skills in developing and editing online communications Excellent verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and project management skills, and attention to detail; ability to work independently.
Ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies, including staff, program participants, and donors.
Outstanding interpersonal skills; ability to cooperate with all levels of staff and as a team member including taking feedback/direction from colleagues and contributing to constructive problem-solving.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, often with competing deadlines.
The ability to work independently and to meet department goals is critical.
Available for a small amount of work nights and weekends.
Knowledge of event management a plus.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
