EHS Project Engineer

This position will be virtual or in one of our North American Fulfillment Centers, and close to an airport for travel 40%+.
The EHS Project Engineer will be responsible for partnering with operations teams in our NACF Network to execute company EHS projects and ensure compliance to all applicable local and regional regulations.
By leveraging lean principles and kaizens, this individual will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes to ensure a safe and healthful working environment for our Associates.
The EHS Project Engineer must demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and influence change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis.
The EHS Project Engineer must be an effective communicator and send clear, concise and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing.
This individual must instruct and train Operations Leaders in company EHS policies and assist the regional teams in incorporating our EHS standards at their site.
The EHS Project Engineer will be required to identify best practices and incorporate these best practices into our standards to continuously improve company EHS policies.
The EHS Project Engineer will be required to possess excellent EHS program and relevant safety, environmental and ergonomic knowledge and demonstrates this expertise when working with Operations.
EHS Project Engineer
Responsibilities:
o Possess a thorough understanding of local/regional regulations and company policy.
o Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Amazon EHS Policies.
o Measure the project and NACF performance against established targets.
For all deficiencies, identify a plan for the network to implement and fix all identified deficiencies.
o Deliver on-time and quality projects to the network.
o Analyze EHS metrics and review incident weekly and monthly incident trends to discover trends to justify the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the safety risk is highest.
o Analyze Global Safety Peer Review results and develop and implement solutions to eliminate exposure to these risks and prevent injury at other FCs.
o Audit the workplace organization and Associate behaviors to ensure that training, auditing and scoring methods are accurate and consistent.
o Spend time at the fulfillment centers and seek input from EHS teams, Associates and leaders on EHS program improvement opportunities.
Ensure open communication on status of progress and resolution against these suggestions.
o Utilize CAD drawings to identify potential changes or barriers to plan implementation.
o Track projects through Playbook, or similar project management tool to effectively communicate timelines, milestones, and key deliverables for all projects.
o Review for effectiveness the deployed EHS tools and revise to ensure continual improvement.
o Partner with corporate and other regional field EHS personnel to leverage global EHS and environmental best practices into NA network standards.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
