Job Purpose:
The position is primarily responsible for executing procedures related to export compliance consistent in accordance with global guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Running relevant reports and performing transaction screening reviews (including but not limited to, managing the release of compliance holds, communicating with internal and external customers, order configuration changes with order management, supporting denied party screenings and entering exception codes) related to international shipments originating from all US warehouse locations.
Develops an in-depth understanding of the industry, including the key players such as suppliers, distributors, freight forwarders, transportation carriers, trade service companies and their success strategies.
Develops an awareness of industry issues, including trends and challenges or concepts related to international trade like; sanctions, tariffs, information control related to technology.
Develops a broad understanding of industry products/services and their applications; distinguishes relationships of parties involved in international business and technology.
Coaches' others with respect to global compliance issues on how to utilize resources to maximize performance; modifies reports and tools to improve operational efficiency.
Monitors and suggests methods for continuous improvement for the department; creates measures to check the accuracy of information for the team.
Coordinates with program management, sales/business operations, order management, integration labs, and shipping/transportation to support business needs to ensure customer satisfaction.
Shares information with other team members to ensure they have up-to-date knowledge of records management procedures and policies, documenting changes and updating work instructions and training material.
Ensures that all office records are accurately entered and filed in accordance with policies and procedures which includes oversight, organization and maintenance of documents and information related to the products transacted internationally.
Conducts a deep review of data and issues to quickly reveal the root cause of problem.
Recommends interim and long-term solutions to complex problems to ensure successful resolution.
Executes solutions to complex problems; guides the analysis of a problem all the way to a successful resolution.
Demonstrates ability to manage several tasks and meet deliverables with minimal error.
Keeps current on laws, controls and regulatory requirements framework and structure.
Adheres to legal and regulatory requirements (e.
g.
, reporting mandates, compliance requirements) and supports all activities relating to customs audits, investigations, disclosures, etc.
Builds advanced knowledge of internal and external market control environments and the elements necessary for verifying product compliance to regional markets and specific country requirements.
Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of where to search for answers related to product information inquiries (like country-of-origin requests) and order setup/configuration requirements (loose product vs.
integrated components) Develops a depth of knowledge of the product documentation like data sheets, specification briefs, test reports and certifications, declarations of conformity, country specific compliance certificates.
Demonstrates understanding of regulatory requirements related to export controls.

Qualifications:
o3-5 years' experience in both Domestic and International Logistics and Trade ComplianceoAbility to multi-task in a face paced environmentoMicrosoft Excel, Word, application proficiencyoExcellent written and communications skillsoThorough knowledge and experience of US import and export regulations with a strong emphasis on ExportoBachelor's degree required.
May substitute with college credit and experience in related field.
