We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Supply Chain Planning Engineer in Morton, IL.

PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).

Learn more about the Caterpillar Experience As a Supply Chain Planning Engineer at Caterpillar, you will be responsible for facility performance levels to corporate targets for inventory reduction, increased inventory turns and improved order-to-delivery results.
You will lead facility efforts to develop and implement the Plan for Every Part, Pull material Replenishment and improved throughput efficiency.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to Responsible for performing work to achieve corporate supply chain performance targets focused on inventory reduction, increased inventory turns and improved parts availability.
Working effectively with diverse, multi-functional teams to apply the supply chain logistics process and leading team efforts to develop a lean parts distribution network.
Ownership and responsibility for supporting NRO (Non Revenue Optimization) initiatives and delivering continuous improvements in the Redeployment solutions.
Reviewing, analyzing, reporting, and actioning issues for all processes where you are the owner utilizing MS Office, PC-SAS, Mainframe solutions and SAP SPM, Tableau, BobJ, PowerBI, and other systems.
Utilizing PC-SAS to gather data from multiple data sources to perform complex data analysis, make conclusions and recommendations.
Executing daily, weekly and monthly processes to support reaching the supply chain performance targets.
Supporting the SPM releases by supporting testing, cutover, conversion, and go-live.
Reviewing SPM solution functionality and responding to questions about potential issues from global multi-functional teams.
Performing physical, tactical work to reduce / eliminate supply chain constraints at both the facility and value stream level, working with a cross-functional team of personnel.
Required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree OR 5 years of progressively responsible supply chain job experience Demonstrated experience with data analytics, data visualization, or programming experience (I.
e.
SAS, Python, C++) Experience with the process improvement and project management Experience in the development and deployment of Supply Chain processes Top candidates will also have:
Previous experience as a Supply Chain Planning Engineer, LEAN, or 6 Sigma A background in Supply Chain, Manufacturing / Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Inventory Management, Material Requirements Planning, Demand Management and/or Logistics Additional Information This position requires 10% or less travel.
