The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar.
In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world.

PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).
Job Summary The Transportation Analyst role has responsibility for tracking Caterpillar parts and components shipments exporting out of North America to our international distribution centers, manufacturing facilities and dealers.
This new role will oversee a new initiative focused on the expedited movement of U.
S.
Ocean Imports.
Additional Information This is a part time position (20-32 hours available with a preference for 32 hours, 5 days a week).
This role is temporary with limited health benefits available.
Position is located in Morton, IL.
Relocation assistance is not available.

In addition to working onsite at one of our PSLD facilities, our hybrid work model allows employees flexibility to work from home based on business need.
What You Will Do:
Tracks Caterpillar North America parts and component ocean imports to ensure on-time delivery.
Identifies process improvement opportunities, document root cause and corrective action for dwelling shipments.
Coordinates problem resolution with Caterpillar facilities and approved Service Providers (ocean carriers, customs brokers, freight forwarders) with regards to the transportation network.
Provides analytical insights to leadership and internal customers to generate fact driven solutions.
Uses tools such as Microsoft Excel, and Tableau to drive transportation tracking and process flow improvements.
Must be able to work 20 to 32 hours per week.
What You Have:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent Problem Solving:
Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP):
Knowledge of the process, issues and considerations for systematically managing distribution of transportation for multiple manufacturing facilities or distribution centers; ability to apply related knowledge and experience in real practice.
Materials Handling and Management:
Knowledge of material handling and management in manufacturing facilities or distribution centers; ability to perform, monitor and improve processes related to storage, transportation and handling of materials.
Experience working in fast paced environment.
Experience within Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Operations, Orders and/or Freight Forwarding or dispatch.
Experience in a Customer Service related role Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (vlookup, hlookup, pivot tables, etc.
