Summary:
Registered Nurses are responsible for the administration of nursing measures as well as the supervision, evaluation, and planning of care for the residents of our long-term care facility.
Essential Duties:
Assists in resident assessment and implementation of appropriate interventionsAssists in planning of care to attain and/or maintain the highest possible level of health, independence, and mobility of the residentDelivers resident medications timely and accuratelyCommunicates with physician and other health care providers to facilitate the overall health care of the residentEncourages and maintains an open communication with resident and familiesAssists with orientation of new personnelRecords progress notes regularly to assure continuity of care and provide up-to-date information for physicians, consultants, nursing staff, and other health care providersProvides resident and family education where needed to enhance cooperation and undertaking of the care planParticipates in continuing education within and outside the facility to improve nursing skills and keep abreast of nursing developmentsOther duties as assignedQualifications for Registered Nurses:
Must be a graduate of an accredited School of NursingMust hold an active Illinois Nursing License as a Registered NurseMust be available to work 3:
00pm until 11:
30pm two weekdays as well as every other weekend and a holiday rotation.
Physical Demands:
Walking and standing most of the day is requiredFrequent stooping, stretching, bending, reachingOccasionally required to sit, use hands/fingersRoutinely required to push/pull/lift and/or move up to 75lbsSome exposure to potentially hazardous equipment, chemicals and infectious waste.
