1 Morton, IL Morton, IL Full-time Full-time $80,000 - $100,000 a year $80,000 - $100,000 a year The Recruiting Manager leads the recruitment and hiring processes throughout the organizations Contract Logistics, Administrative, and Transportation divisions.
Serving as a player-coach, the Recruiting Manager is responsible for proactively working to fill assigned requisitions while also guiding a team of recruiters in full life cycle recruitment.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Oversees and manages the recruiting team in implementing full life cycle recruitment for designated positions.
Coaches recruiters in effective communication with hiring managers and candidates.
Proactively works to fill assigned salary level positions as well as positions in operations and management.
This will include utilizing proactive recruitment methods, sourcing talent and reviewing credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements, and managing the interview, presentation, selection, offer, negotiation, closing, and administrative components involved in full lifecycle recruiting for assigned requisites.
Works closely with marketing team to develop new strategies and programs to attract candidates as well as develop sourcing strategies utilizing job boards, social media, cold calling, networking events and participation in industry organizations.
Oversees onboarding activities for new hires.
Including pre-employment reporting, drug screening, and onboarding paperwork.
Ensures recruiting processes are compliant with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulation.
Monitors the applicant tracking system for quality and efficiency, communicating issues and potential improvement opportunities.
Maintains requisition system to track and monitor open positions and staffing progress.
Monitors the advertising budget for adherence to monthly/annual allowances.
Oversees all contractual relationships with temporary staffing agencies and search firms.
Continually reviews recruiting processes and metrics for effectiveness providing feedback and making recommendations to senior management where necessary.
Acts as a representative of the recruiting department in management meetings to share ongoing progress, roadblocks, and areas for improvement, and to suggest ways to improve recruiting quality and decreased time-to-fill.
Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma required.
Associate's or Bachelor's in business or related field a plus.
5 years of Recruiting and/or Talent Management experience preferred.
Experience recruiting in the Transportation and Logistics industry is preferred.
Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulation.
Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations and FMCSA is preferred.
Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, HRIS programs, and Microsoft software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
