Chapin Hall pioneered strategies for collecting, linking, and analyzing administrative data, and has also developed the analytic tools and systems for monitoring child and youth outcomes.

Essential Functions Leads the cost-effective procurement of technology goods and services, including selection and negotiations and, where appropriate, managing consultants and vendors Stays abreast of relevant IT best practices and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
Develops, implements, and monitors the use of robust information security policies and practices throughout the institution.
Develops and maintains a disaster recovery plan, as well as backup procedures and practices.
Manages access and permissions to the network.
Directs the work of professional staff.
Responsible for ensuring their successful performance and development.
Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent combination or education and experience required.
Experience A minimum of ten years of professional experience in roles with significant IT management responsibility required, including management of network, server and desktop support.
Experience with project management and budget management required.
Experience managing a Windows environment required.
Experience with Linux/UNIX and with leading the implementation, administration, and support of Linux and UNIX operating systems and servers (using command line) required.
Experience with leading the implementation and support of network and server environments, including with network hardware, devices, and software required, including but not limited to:
Servers; Switches; Routers; Firewalls; Backup/storage solutions; and, Network management, monitoring and analysis tools.
Experience managing telecommunications systems, including digital as well as VOIP solutions, required.
Experience in the following other relevant areas required:
Implementing and maintaining wireless network environments Disaster recovery and business continuity planning, policies, and best practices Cloud computing practices Other Qualifications Strong experience in and a demonstrated record of engaging and partnering with management and staff to accomplish the goals of an organization.
This includes the ability to:
a) creatively resolve problems in close consultation with stakeholders and, b) build consensus among differing perspectives to reach decisions that leverage the organization's use of technology in service of its mission.
The ability to effectively manage a range a range of relationships, both within Chapin Hall and with the broad community of Chapin Hall constituents and stakeholders, required.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate complex technology concepts to non-technical audiences required.
Excellent staff management and team building skills required.
Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others required.
Strong technical trouble-shooting and root cause analysis skills required.
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and projects, required.
Knowledge of best practices related to configuring, managing, and troubleshooting firewalls required.
Knowledge of best practices in developing and maintaining clear technical documentation required.
Knowledge of the latest network security policies, best practices, and data protection and management tools required.
Knowledge of data processing procedures and best practices strongly preferred.
Knowledge of data backup policies and procedures strongly preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
