Tractor Technician
Minimum Qualifications Basic math skills Fluent in English Tractor Technicians diagnose and repair Dayton Freight tractor components Perform ECM diagnostics Test, calibrate and repair injections systems Troubleshoot and repair electrical components Maintain proficiency in repair of all major power and drive train components Perform preventative maintenance inspections and services Repair, adjust and align suspension systems Repair and adjust brake systems Perform collision and body repair service Support the tire maintenance program Perform service calls Perform duties of all other technicians, including trainees, when necessary; wash and fuel equipment; road test vehicles Perform other maintenance duties or assignments Proactively assist and direct junior technicians Be cognizant of all shop work and assume responsibility for its proper completion Lead the care and upkeep of the maintenance shop, grounds and all equipment and tools Maintain a clean, safe environment that complies with DOT, EPA, OSHA and Company standards Be proficient in paperwork and recordkeeping In conjunction with the Parts Department, assure that all necessary materials, parts, service/shop supplies are maintained at proper quantity levels; effectively handle special assignments as directed Please Apply Online at:
