Job Description:
DUTIES, TASKS AND
Responsibilities:
Create purchase orders.
Follow up and expedite purchase orders.
Maintain all vendor and pricing files and databases.
Monitor purchasing discrepancy issues.
Work with suppliers and the Inventory Control team to solve the discrepancy.
File hard and electronic copies of documents, and correspondence.
Gather and develop market data information.
Close all purchase orders as required.
Assist with special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
Back:
up purchasing staff as needed.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Bachelors Degree in Business or related field.
1:
3 years of purchasing (or equivalent) experience a plus.
Experience within a manufacturing environment preferred.
AS400 experience preferred.
Strong PC and intermediate Excel, Word and Database (Access) skills required.
Proactive interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
A team player with the ability to maintain a highly professional demeanor.
