PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Responsible for providing Manito Transit Customers with perfect service through effective planning and communication with drivers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for planning and dispatching drivers to support sales and service in a profitable manner.

Communicates any and all service issues to our customers timely.

Monitors and documents drivers hours of service to ensure compliance and safety.

Enters orders in TMW timely with driver and equipment assignment, tenders loads to drivers and monitors their progress.

Efficiently analyzes all possible drivers routes, prices and freight combinations for maximum cost savings.

Maximizes the number of loads sourced from non-predetermined terminals to optimize savings.

Monitors product prices, costs and availability; identifies orders affected, re-prices and re-sources them to reduce the overall cost.

Maintains a positive environment with customers and all employees.

Monitors driver card access agreements by terminal and maximizes the number of drivers carded to provide flexibility in serving customers.

Provides reports to Operations Manager regarding service failures, driver issues and loads turned down

Responsible for soliciting orders from customers to maximize equipment and driver utilization.

Analyzes methods to increase utilization to improve service and automate various dispatch functions.

Maintains daily reports and distributes to appropriate parties.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Advises Operations Manager of actions taken effecting routing or daily activities.

Communicates daily load information to appropriate groups.

Assists other departments with inquiries and requests.

Follows GROWMARK s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires an Associate s degree or related work experience to demonstrate the ability to learn transportation and dispatching skills, including analytical / problem solving, multi-tasking under pressure and professional communication and customer service skills.

TMW experience preferred.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.

Ability to interpret a road map legend and content. Must be able to provide driving directions to others.

Ability to work extended hours and weekends, as demand requires.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on Manito s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Ability to use Office, Excel, Word and Outlook proficiently.

Must have and maintain a valid driver s license and satisfactory driving record.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
